Reservations for Public Performances with Tour Groups and Groups of 20+

reserve1O.K., so you would like to bring your group to a public show, you want to make reservations far enough in advance to assure availability (we recommend at least 30 days), but you don’t want to pre-pay because the size of your group may change….

Never fear, here’s how we do that:

  • Groups of 20 or more are processed on a contract and secured with a 10% down payment.
  • The balance is due the night of the show.
  • The total number of guests on this contract may be reduced by not more than 30% provided the purchaser contacts Mystery Dinner Playhouse at least 7 days prior to the performance date.

Reservations for Private Shows

reserve2Private shows require a minimum of 35 people at our Richmond, Williamsburg and Virginia Beach locations Sunday through Thursday when a public show is not scheduled. A minimum of 40 people are required at our D.C. location Monday through Thursday when a public show is not scheduled. Friday and Saturday (and Sunday included for D.C. only) private shows must have a minimum of 90 people in Richmond, 120 in Williamsburg, 80 in Virginia Beach and 100 in Washington D.C./Arlington. We have done hundreds of shows for some of the nation’s largest companies, including Capital One, Reynolds Metal, Motorola, Searle Pharmaceuticals, Bell Atlantic, and Philip Morris. We’ve also done many shows for tour groups including Fantastic Tours and Senior Tar Heel Travel Club. (Reference letters available upon request)

There are advantages to having a private show. For instance, you can send a “Fact Sheet” containing names and events around your company and our actors will work them into the show. Also you will receive expanded menu choices and you can pick your own start time, or have a cocktail hour prior to the show time.
